TY Achill Trip 2024

Day 2 of the Achill adventure for TYs and its blue skies all around. Students enjoyed a 10km walk along the wild atlantic way this morning. After lunch students enjoyed catching some waves and rolling in the bog for some bog snorkeling. Last night we had great fun dancing at the céilí. More fun to follow later this evening.
Here are our TYs at one of Gráinne Mhaol’s many castles which she strategically built around Clew Bay. Although her main castle was on Clare Island, this one seen here is called Kildownet castle from the 1500’s, which offered sheltered and deep anchorage for her large shipping fleet.”
