Congratulations to Jessica Sheridan (1st Year) and Annie (6th Year), Joe (3rd Year) and Paddy Rooney (1st Year) who competed in the All Ireland Fleadh in Wexford in August this year. It is a huge achievement to qualify at County and Provincial Level and compete in the All Ireland Fleadh – the standard is exceptional!
Jessica competed in the Sean Nós Dancing (12-15) category. Annie competed in the Céilí Band (15-18) category with the Glengeen Céilí Band. Joe and Paddy competed in the Céilí Band (12-15) category, with Joe on Button Accordion and Paddy on drums, and they also competed in the Duets and Grúpaí Ceoil categories, with Joe on Button Accordion and Paddy on Banjo.
Jessica came 3rd in the Sean Nós Dancing. Joe and Paddy won the Duets category and together with the Drumlish Céili Band won the Céilí Band category – two All Ireland Titles! They also performed live on Fleadh TV on TG4 on the Saturday and Sunday nights. Congratulations to Jessica, Annie, Joe and Paddy on these great achievements for their County, Province and Glenfarne and Dromore CCE.
