Well done to Mia Connolly, Cara Keegan and Cadhla Moffitt who competed in the final round of the Irish Angus Schools competition last Friday in Croke Park. The girls were interviewed by five different industry judges from ABP, Kepak and the Irish Angus Society about their project on feeding seaweed to cattle can reduce methane emissions. The girls were one of 44 groups from around Ireland presenting their research. In the coming weeks 5 groups will be announced as the winners of the Irish Angus calves which they will take to finishing. Let’s hope all the girls hard work pays off. Well done.
