On Friday,19th of April singer-songwriter RuthAnne visited St. Clare’s Comprehensive to educate our senior girls on the importance of taking control of their Menstrual Health.
She was joined by Senator Lisa Chambers as well as nurse Aoife Cunningham and her sister Rachel who volunteered their time to bring this pilot programme to our school. Over 80 of our senior girls attended this educational talk on Menstrual Health and Endometriosis. It was an interactive event with a quiz, with many girls winning prizes. This educational module on Menstrual Health will eventually be rolled out in every year in every school – nationwide leading to earlier diagnosis of disease and earlier intervention.
