Last Friday our 5th and Leaving Cert girls headed to Bee
Park for an end of year get together. In the bright sunshine, the two teams went head to head wearing our new LIDL jerseys. For a long time it looked as if it was going to be the 5th years’ day. They took an early lead and and held it for the first two thirds. However a dramatic comeback (which included a brilliant score from Ms.O’ Rourke and an unstoppable goal from Ms Horan) meant that the game ended in a draw. Final score 5th years
4-7 6th years 5-4. Well done to Elle who referred in a very impartial way. Our thanks to GlencarManor GAA for the use of facilities. Our thanks also to the school who generously sponsored togs and socks for our girls Gaelic teams. A big thank you to parents and everyone who supported our LIDL stamp-collecting campaign last year. Out talented girls will benefit from the new jerseys for many years to come. And finally, we send our good wishes to our LC girls who have been great servants to our school football teams for many years. We will miss you. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh go léir.
