A huge thank you to Neven Maguire for visiting St Clare’s Comprehensive today to help our three students Cadhla Moffitt , Cara Keegan and Mia Connolly cook Certified Irish Angus Steaks as part of the Certified Irish Angus Schools competition, partnered with ABP and Kepak. The girls have recently progressed to the last stage of the competition following their interview last month.
Staff completed a taste test on Irish Angus steaks vs Crossbred steaks with the Irish Angus steaks being the clear winner !
Thank you very much to Ms. E. Maguire from the Home Economics department and Ms. J. Geoghegan Agricultural Science teacher for facilitating the event.
Neven was very kind in both supplying the Certified Irish Angus steaks and presenting signed copies of one of his recipe books to Ms. Kelly (Principal) and other members of staff. The event was a great success and a very enjoyable experience for all who took part.
The best of luck to the three girls in the next round of the competition which involves a competition exhibition in Croke Park on the 7th of March.
