Our juvenile lads won their semi final today against a strong Galway school, Colaiste na Coiribhe.
Supported by a strong breeze, our lads led
by 1-05 to 0-05 at half time, with Bruce O’Hagan and Colm McLaughlin getting the vital scores. With the wind intensifying in the second half our lads had to defend feriously, which they did to a man. Colm McLaughlin got a vital break away goal to give a 4 point cushion for the final ten minutes. Colaiste Coiribhe applied plenty of pressure but our lads did not allow any goal opportunities, forcing the opposition to long shots. In a nail biting finish our lads got over the line with a 1 point win.
