A group of TY students recently enjoyed a brilliant day out at The Glens Centre for a podcast creation workshop with Brendan Murray, host of Ocean FM’s Arts North West, and a professional recording technician.
During the workshop, students explored the art of podcasting — planning and recording their own segments. The focus of the session was on music in St Clare’s and how music can bring people together, spark creativity, and offer happiness and inspiration.
Students recorded interviews about musical talent in the school and people’s personal connections to music. They also covered and recorded different songs, as well as discussing our own Buzzed Band’s upcoming album release. Many thanks to Ms Hassett and Ms Scheiffelen for organising the trip.
All of these recordings will be combined into a single, special podcast episode celebrating Music in St Clare’s.
