St. Clare’s 8-14 – 1-4 St. Cuan’s
St. Clare’s delivered a scintillating performance in the Connacht Junior quarter-final, overpowering St. Cuan’s with a dominant 8-14 to 1-4 victory to book their place in next week’s semi-final.
From the throw-in, St. Clare’s set the tone with relentless intensity and clinical finishing. The scoreboard quickly reflected their superiority, with early goals from Padraig Devaney and Colm McLoughlin putting them firmly in control. Patrick Nolan added his name to the scoresheet with a well-taken goal, capping off a first half that showcased St. Clare’s attacking flair and defensive discipline.
St. Cuan’s battled bravely and managed to register a goal of their own, but they struggled to match the pace and cohesion of a St. Clare’s side firing on all cylinders. The second half saw more of the same, with St. Clare’s continuing to pile on the pressure and adding further goals and points from all areas of the pitch.
It was an excellent team performance from St. Clare’s, with every line of the field contributing to a commanding win. Their movement, support play, and accuracy in front of goal left little doubt about their intent from the start. This performance should give our lads confidence going into the semi-finals. Best of luck to the team as they continue their Connacht campaign!
