On Thursday, 14th May, St. Clare’s Comprehensive School held a heartwarming graduation ceremony for the Leaving Certificate Class of 2026. Fr Sexton celebrated the Mass, marking a very special milestone for the students. Amid laughter and tears of joy, they bid farewell to their school years, embracing the promise of new horizons.
The melodious harmonies of the LC choir filled the air, accompanied by students Matthew, Edee, Reuben, Maya, Karol, Nora, Shauna and Shona, along with teachers Mrs Beirne and Mr Teyssou, adding greatly to the spirit of the occasion. The songs reflected the theme “You’re Gonna Go Far”, with artwork designed by Imogen and Maya.
A special thank you is extended to Mrs Beirne, Mr Martin, and Fr Sexton for organising the event, as well as to class tutors Ms Brennan, Ms Bolger, Ms Geoghegan, Mr McDonald, and Year Head Mr Gilmartin.
Anna and James, Head Girl and Head Boy, opened the Mass with beautiful reflections on the experiences and memories made during the past six years at St. Clare’s Comprehensive School, while Principal Ms Kelly addressed students and families at the conclusion of the ceremony.
The annual Senior Academic Student of the Year awards were jointly presented by Mr Gerard Reilly, Chairperson of the Board of Management, to the very worthy recipients, Shauna Speers and Edee Farrell.
Refreshments were served for all families in attendance. A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone involved in making the evening such a memorable occasion for the Sixth Year students.
As these students embark on their next adventures, may they enjoy their final summer as students of St. Clare’s Comprehensive School.
