Congratulations to Hannah Baranska and Bethany O’Mahoney recently represented the school at Sci Fest in ATU Sligo with their project entitled “It takes a village, optimising Community Engagement through student volunteerism”. Their project involved interviewing local members of the community and students who volunteer to find out what motivates them to volunteer, the benefits to volunteering, the barriers that hold others back from volunteering and solutions to breaking down these barriers.
