A fantastic day at the Connacht Schools Track and Field Finals, where our pupils were outstanding and represented the school with real pride.
We had two podium finishes:
Sarah Mulvaney‑Kelly — 1st place in the 300m
Greg Lyons — 3rd place in the 1500m
Both athletes have now qualified for the All‑Ireland Finals. Wishing the very best of luck to Sarah and Greg as they prepare for the next stage.
Caoimhe Murphy delivered a superb performance in the 800m, finishing 4th — just one place shy of qualification. A brilliant run.
We also saw strong efforts across runs, relays, and throws from:
Oisín Toolan, Eoghan Rooney, Anna Zemite, Adriana Barczyk, Brion Cullen, Cian Rooney, Simon McDonald, Daniel Rooney, Mark Malaniff, and Jakub Lesinak.
Well done to every one of them for their commitment and determination.
A proud day for the school and a credit to all involved. Thanks to Mr Doherty who has coached this students all year no matter what the weather condition!!
