This week, our TY students and staff came together to support North West Hospice with a coffee morning and bake sale! There were delicious treats all around and a fantastic amount raised for a truly worthy cause. Thank you to everyone who contributed!

Our junior ladies had their first game out this year in the Connacht Championship away versus St. Nathy’s, Ballaghadereen. Unfortunately they girls lost on a score like of 4-08 to 2-06. They will take on Strokestown next week.  Hard luck ladies.

Our Senior girls played the first Gaelic game of the year vs Mercy College last week. Conditions were perfect, and after a great sporting game, we came out on the losing side. Our Junior Boys Gaelic won against a big and physical Mohill team, in an extremely tough encounter at St.Osnatt’s pitch. We lead by the narrowest of margins at half time. On Thursday, Sept 25th, St. Clare’s Leaving Cert students attended an excellent production of the Shakespeare’s play Macbeth at the Mill Theatre, Dundrum. Thanks to Mr Hughes and Mr. Teyssou for organising the trip and accompanying the students.

Today the students completed their 25km hike as part of the Gaisce programme. After lunch they took part in some bog snorkeling. This group has a great sense of spirit and positivity. Let’s hope they dont bring the bog home with them tomorrow!

Students have landed safe and well in Achill. Students enjoyed some cliff diving this afternoon. This group have no fear.  Tonight they will enjoy some ceilí dancing.
