Greenway Walk Day – 1st Year Transition Programme 2025 – 2026

1st Year students, accompanied by their Year Head, Ms O’Rourke, Class Tutors and the Mentor Group kicked off their first outing of the School Transition Programme with a refreshing greenway walk that combined nature, connection, and adventure. on Wednesday 8th October.

The group continued the scenic trail up the mountain, enjoying crisp autumn air on O’Donnell’s Rock with plenty of laughs along the way. At the summit, everyone paused for a well-earned lunch with panoramic views — the perfect backdrop for new friendships to form. It was a day of movement, mindfulness, and memorable moments to start their first outing on a high note — literally!

The 1st Year Transition Programme activities are offered to students to help their integration into the second level school community and to help foster friendships and further social connections. Thanks to Ms Fahy for organising the event.
