Dylan presented at UCD Entrance Scholars Awards Ceremony

Dylan Kabaya (LC Class 2024) was presented a UCD Enterance award by Professor Orla Feely, President of University College Dublin on Thursday, 12 February 2026.

Entrance Scholar Awards are presented to the Leaving Certificate entrant with the highest points score from each school in the Republic of Ireland, provided the score is at least 500 points. These awards form part of a range of UCD initiatives designed to recognise exceptional students as they join the University.

The event commenced with a pre-ceremony programme in UCD’s new O’Connor Centre for Learning building, offering Ms Kelly (Principal) the opportunity to engage directly with UCD’s evolving teaching methodologies, to hear about future skills and employability, and to experience the new learning spaces ahead of the Awards Ceremony.

This is an incredible achievement and a testament to Dylans hard work, dedication and outstanding talent. The Ad Astra programme recognises students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence and commitment, and this honour places them among a truly distinguished group.

We are so proud of all Dylan has accomplished and can’t wait to see the impact he will make in the years ahead at UCD and beyond.
