An incredible start to the 110th All Ireland Schools Track & Field Championships saw 5th year student Lucas Lyons claim victory in the Senior Boys’ 5000m yesterday, crossing the line in a superb time of 14:21.
Congratulations, Lucas! This is a fantastic achievement, and everyone in St. Clare’s is immensely proud of your success.
St. Clare’s has a proud tradition in this event, with former teacher Mr. P.J. Leddy winning the race in 1967—when it was contested over three miles rather than 5000m!
