Rang mhicDhiarmada and Tearmann travelled to Derry/londonderry on Monday. Great day spent Christmas shopping, entertainment at the panto and refreshments in McDonald’s. Thanks to Ms Lynch, Mr Teyssou, Ms McGowan and SNA’s Karen, Andrea and Maggie for travelling. 

Enterprising students from St Clare’s held their annual Christmas fair on Wednesday the 13th of December. It marked the start of the festive activities in the school and was a tremendous success. The u20 girls have reached the Connaught final after beating Lacken Cross 4-0 in the semi final. The 4 goals were scored by Eimear Keaney. The girls now play Foxford in the final in January. Well done to Mr McDonald and the u20 girls. 

Congrats to Archie Bell 1st prize and Niamh McGovern Highly commended. Winners in the Manorhamiltons Winter Fest coloring competition. Thanks to all the organisers of such a great event.

Margaret fro DCU paid LCs a visit on Thursday. She gave a very comprehensive overview of the eclectic mix of courses offered by DCU. Thanks to Margaret for making the journey.

Congrats to Grainne Rooney who won University College Cork’s online competition for College Awareness week.

Well done to 5C LCVP class who organised this years St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Food Appeal. Over 30 boxes of food were collected. All the food collected has been handed over to the local SVP who will distribute it to those in need.
