Mr Hewstons New Lab is showcased on the Royal Society of Chemistry Website. Mr Hewston has been a teacher in St Clare’s Comprehensive School for over 30 years and has seen many changes in the science department most recenlty the renovation of the science labs. Community Garda Declan and Paula had a very busy day on Tuesday talking to students about online safety. Topics included being safe online, consequences of behaviour online and the new Coco law. This was a follow up on our Internet safety week.
Kay Mitchel from Maynooth University visited the Leaving Cert students on Monday as part of College awareness week. She gave a very informative presentation not only Maynooth University but also on College life and expectations. She gave great encouragement to all students to try College life.

Representing St. Clare’s Comprehensive School in Manorhamilton, Sarah finished a magnificent 6th overall in Sunday’s All Ireland Schools Combined Events Competition in Athlone. TY and 5th year students attended a roadshow in the library on Thursday the 16th of November called See Her Elected. The aim of the workshop was to support women across rural Ireland to become county councillors and to be part oftheir campaign teams. Many thanks to Ms Benson for organising this event.
Students from 1st year to 4th year took part in the 2023 Bebras Computing Challenge today.
